Student Guide to Met Transportation
We’re excited for another great year at The Met. Transportation is a big part of making sure every student has access to opportunities for learning and growth.
LTI Transportation
-
Every student will set up their LTI schedule with their advisor. Once your LTI is confirmed, your advisor will submit a transportation request.
-
Students with LTIs close to campus or on RIPTA bus routes will continue to use public transportation. This helps maximize time at LTIs and keeps Met buses available for sites that are farther away. (Bus maps are available in every building or online at RIPTA.com.)
-
At East Bay, a bus stop has been added across the street to make RIPTA access easier.
-
If public transportation isn’t an option, a Met bus may be assigned based on availability.
Once your request is processed, your advisor will let you know your start day, pickup times, and driver information.
Your responsibility: Communicate directly with the transportation office about any schedule changes (canceling for the day, running late, etc.).
Ride Cancellations
-
Students must call the transportation office to cancel a ride.
-
If you miss a scheduled ride without notice, the office will notify you and your advisor.
Bus Pickup Locations
-
Public St. Campus: Between the two main entrances on Public Street
-
Peace St. Campus: Dexter St. Main Entrance
-
East Bay Campus: Bus Circle at the Main Entrance
Be on time! Morning buses leave at scheduled times and cannot return for late students.
Expectations on the Bus
-
No fighting, bullying, or inappropriate language. Incidents will be reported to your advisor and principal.
-
Eating and drinking are allowed—please keep the bus clean. Dispose of trash in the bin near the door.
-
Close all windows before leaving the bus.
-
Remember: riding a bus is a privilege that can be taken away if rules are not followed.
Have a wonderful year—we’re here to support your LTI journey!
