RIPTIKs and Wave Cards
RIPTIKs (Single-Use Tickets)
RIPTIKs at the Front Desk are only for:

Students waiting for a replacement Wave Card

Students without a Wave Card who need transportation for LTIs, sports, or college classes
RIPTIK use is tracked to make sure each building has the right amount.
RIPTIKs are NOT for:

Going to the mall
-
Visiting friends
-
Any trips outside of school obligations
Using RIPTIKs for the wrong reason means another student may be left without transportation.
Wave Cards (Monthly Bus Passes)

Students living 1.5 miles or more from school now receive a Wave Card.

The 1.5 miles is measured “as the crow flies” (a straight line), not by GPS travel distance.
Register your card right away using the instructions on the sleeve. Students can register online by creating an account.
Lost, Broken, or Missing Cards

Scan the QR code posted around campus or submit a request online.
If lost between the 15th–31st of the month:

Not registered: You must wait until the 1st of the next month for a replacement.

Registered: You can transfer your pass right away.

Log into the Wave app or RIPTA website.

Register your new card.
-
Transfer the pass from the old card to the new one.
