ADVISORS’ GUIDE TO MET TRANSPORTATION

LTI Transportation Requests

How to Submit

  • All trip requests are submitted through FMX.

  • Requests cannot be made by email, phone or in person.

  • Fill out all required fields, including full addresses and times.

Deadlines

  • Requests are due 5 business days before date of first trip.

  • Requests submitted after the deadline (including during vacations and weekends) will be scheduled for the next week.

  • Same-week requests are not accepted.

Confirmation

  • You will receive a confirmation via FMX with pickup times and assigned drivers once your request is processed.

  • Shadow Day requests follow the same process. Students will not be allowed on buses without a completed request.

Student Expectations

  • Be ready at assigned pickup time.

  • Providence pick-up spots: Public St., Peace St. (main entrance), and East Bay (front entrance circle).

  • For early morning pickups (e.g., 8:00 AM), students have a 5-minute window. After that, they must wait for the 9:00 AM bus.

Important Notes

  • When LTIs overlap with college or Met classes, transportation cannot guarantee late-morning or exact afternoon pickups.

  • Students/Advisors must call the transportation dispatcher if canceling or changing rides.

  • If a student is a no-show in the morning, the return pickup will be cancelled unless the dispatcher has been informed otherwise.

  • Students must know their driver, bus number, and the transportation dispatcher #.

Additional Guidelines

  • No non-students or family members may ride Met buses, vans, or yellow buses.
