Golf is about so much more than learning how to swing a club. It teaches patience, focus, perseverance, honesty, confidence, respect, and how to recover when things don’t go exactly as planned. It is also an incredibly social game — one that encourages conversation, relationship-building, sportsmanship, and the ability to connect with people from different backgrounds and generations.
Those social skills matter. Whether on a golf course, at an internship, in college, or in the workplace, being comfortable introducing yourself, carrying on a conversation, listening to others, and building relationships can open doors and create opportunities.
That makes Button Hole’s mission especially meaningful: “Together we enrich the lives of young people by providing facilities and programs that develop strong character, teach life values, and champion success through the game of golf.”
